This is the first album I ever recorded. Conceptually, it's music written for "coworkers" at a summer camp. I worked there for four years in a row. This album was for that first, most magical year. Being a lifelong indoorsman, this outdoors-y experience with some wonderful people was a certain life-changer and life-bringer. Hence, the need to express myself with my piano skills.
I recorded this album at my friend Chris Whittaker's apartment. At the time we were both still in high school. He owned a baby grand piano, and we set up mics and recorded. Yes, there's a boatload of fuzz and noise in the background. But if you can get over that, I hope you can enjoy these 36 strange and lovely mini-compositions.
